IgnitEDU was created after many years of working in education and noticing there is a huge gap in what is needed for students to thrive. This gap crossed all communities. It did not discriminate. Too often the pressures of achieving certain academic scores and doing well academically comes with a price. From students passing out, to unhealthy financial and physical habits, to multiple repeated, failed courses we have seen it all. Infusing mental health into education is the perfect recipe not just for student success, but life success!
We are igniting education by helping high school and college students conquer their mental health and achieve their academic and professional goals so they can create and live in a happier space as they transition to adulthood.
We offer a variety of services and resources to help get students to where they need to be.

She’s worked in K-12 educational settings, as well as higher education since 2012. In addition to mental health, she is passionate about social justice, acquiring a $10,000 state grant for the development and implementation of Anti-Poverty Civic and Community Engagement Fellowship for juniors and seniors in high school. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Spanish (and was Pre-Med!) from La Salle University in Philadelphia and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston University. Denisse Quintanilla is the summer 2020 intern at IgnitEDU and a rising junior at Monmouth University in New Jersey studying Spanish/Communication with a concentration in media studies and production. Denisse chose this major because she wants to make a difference in this world, and help change the way that minority groups are represented in the media. She is very passionate about this and believes that she can create that change through this field. In the future, Denisse hopes to become anchor or reporter for a television station or work at a radio station. As a future journalist, she hopes to bring to light the issues that are important to the community, especially the Hispanic community. Some of Denisse's personal interests include spending time with family and friends, watching Netflix, reading, learning languages, traveling, and volunteering. She is of Ecuadorian descent and can speak Spanish fluently.
"I am excited to intern at IgnitEDU and I am sure that I will learn many skills that I will use in my professional development. I am thrilled to be working at a company that creates a safe space for students to talk about mental health"
